What is happening to the ice cubes in the picture to the left? They are melting and going from a solid to a liquid. They are changing states.
This week in class we will learning about the different states of matter; liquid, solid, and gas. This is part of our Science TEKS. Play "States of Matter Who Wants to be a Millionaire" to quiz yourself and your child's knowledge of the different states. Can you get $1,000,000?
How does the process work though? Play this fun game to find out. To review all you have learned about the states of matter watch this short video hosted by Ted Tunes.

This is very cool- is it for a school project? I'm a homeschooling mother of 4 and teach elem. chemistry to 2nd and 3rd graders in our homeschool coop. I'm using the book "Adventures with Atoms and Molecules" and it's been great! Thanks for the links in this blog- hope to use the game next week somehow! Blessings,
Katherine
fyi- I tried to become a "follower" of your blog- 1st using th link on the right hand side- then on my own dashboard- both showed an error and didn't work. Not sure what's wrong, but thought you might like to know so you can fix it-
It probably wasn't working because I was making a new post at the same time. Try again and let me know. This is in fact for a project. I am finishing up my last semester before I graduate and become a Elementary teacher. However, I currently work at a local school with 3rd and 4th graders so I have every intention in keeping it going. Keep checking back. Thanks for the comments and have fun with the game.
